Evidence Based Medicine: The current concept of health practice and education is Evidence Based Medicine. Research is of utmost important aspect of medical education and patient care. Clinical research is an integral part of medical education. Though of the clinician are engaged in some sort of research, not all researches are published.
Concept of publish or perish: It is said that, if we as medical personnel, don’t publish then we will perish. Only clinical work is not sufficient. We need to do research works as well. This is the need of time. Merely conducting research is not sufficient. They need to be published. This is important for academic growth as well. Further, we invest so much of energy, man power, time and finance for conducting research or a study. There can be important findings for the world to know. Publication of research works helps gain name and fame.
